I can't stop thinking about that FireAid Nirvana reunion concert. So good! And yesterday I listened to the Reading concert. I love how their lyrics, which I believe were mostly penned by Kurt, are so playful and full of wisdom. I mean, maybe he was just joking when he wrote this, but I don't so. He loved puns, I love puns. Perfect

"What else should I write?
I don't have the right"

"I find it hard
It's hard to find"

"We can plant a house
We can build a tree"

#Grammys telecast brought in millions for #LAfires relief and #Musicares charity efforts.

An estimated $9 million was raised during the Sunday night #broadcast, while a total of $24 million #FireRelief finds were raised throughout the weekend at related #MusicIndustry #banquets and parties etc.

Overall over $100 million in #FireAid #pledges were made from viewers of the two simultaneous live #concert #events that were streamed from #LA venues last week featuring stars like Green Day, Lady GaGa, Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, Sting etc.

CNN · Grammys and FireAid concerts expected to raise over $120 million for LA fire reliefBy Elizabeth Wagmeister

The surviving members of Nirvana — Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear — made a surprise appearance at last night's FireAid show, performing "Breed" with St. Vincent, "School" with Kim Gordon, "Territorial Pissings" with Joan Jett, and "All Apologies" with Violet Grohl, the 18-year-old daughter of Dave. Here's @RollingStone's story, including a video of the show.

See the second link for @AssociatedPress's story on the whole event, which was to raise money for Pacific Palisades and Altadena neighborhoods and other areas impacted by the L.A. wildfires.
