2010. When I played a scarface #Asian mafia boss lady on a horror film short production. Filmed at the old Hung Fat #kungfu club in Chinatown. Gentrification got their longtime, oldest kungfu association in BC, evicted a few years ago.

Gloria Tsoi, pictured with me, owns & runs the kung-fu club - passed down from ancestors. We've been friends since the 90s.

2016. After wrapping the last shoot on Ollie & Emma #TelusOptik #webseries #FilmProduction at the Village Foods grocery store in #Sooke.
Me & the lighting crew were the last ones to clock out. I was always the last crew to leave sets because I was also the locations manager. We goofed around with wigs & accessories props from my costumes tickle trunk. I provided several props for the production filming from my own personal collections.
I was on contract with Less Bland Productions in #VictoriaBC at the time.

We're done.

We finished the last b-roll shots yesterday, packed everything up and moved out of the creepy location that's been our home away from home for nearly a month. So many folks came out to help, it really was wonderful and makes us so very thankful.

Today, I'm exhausted and sore. Most of my gear is put away. Did some work, and I broke something minor by forgetting to escape a space in a shell script, so…

@TAV & I are going to play hooky and go see Dune 2 in theatre.

We wrapped principle photography last night! Got in a bit after 5am this morning, slept, then dragged myself out of bed and did a 30 minute #AppleFitness strength workout.

I may have time to make a brief appearance at @ByMUG before heading off to set for the last day of #FilmProduction / #FilmMaking before we put it all away and not look at it for two weeks, so we can see everything with fresh eyes and not seeing around the frame as we move into postproduction.

Monday: sleep… and maybe Dune 2.

Friday: 150 seconds of plank, 10.1 km of #running (-7°C with a windchill of -12°C).

Slept an extra two hours, I'm heading into the last official weekend of #FilmProduction / #FilmMaking on this film.

The run was pretty good, tried a different route, managed to get a good photo of the ice texture (bottom right) that really shows the texture.

Sunday: went for a stroll with @TAV before brunch, then came home and have been digitally puttering the afternoon away while watching the director's commentary of the Blair Witch. Busy work week ahead, and the last three days of this #FilmProduction project this coming weekend.

Friday: 143 seconds of plank, followed by 5.5 km of #running (1°C), a stop at the grocery store, and then walking home.

Another pretty good short run. Really starting to miss my longer runs though. Maybe next week.
