I got into <a href="https://writing.exchange/tags/bookbinding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#bookbinding</a> a few months ago and found it to be much easier to make decent quality books than I'd ever expected! I favor the Pretty Perfect Paperback method but it's easy to jump to hardcovers from there! You can turn any PDF of an ebook into a print-ready version using online tools and I'd 100% encourage authors to release an interposed version so people can print and bind their own copies

✨ justada :polish_cow:I had to cut the pages at a printing shop because without a hydraulic guillotine, neatly cutting so much paper is just not possible. I've tried many methods but ended up with just uneven and ragged pages.For binding, i chose the "perfect binding" technique with a softcover. It seems to be the easiest and least labour intensive. Binding the pages was actually easier than i thought.I've designed the cover around a stunning artwork by Suzuka Youraku. I just had to have certain works on my bookshelf and so i did :blob_rave: This project began with scoring a second-hand inkjet printer for just 8€. The Epson stylus SX235W is old but it still works just fine. Maria Langer | 📝 🎬 ⚒️🛥️I finally tried out the hole punching cradle I made and I love it! Went right through 9 sheets of 74lb paper and a cardstock-backed rice paper cover. I also used my teflon bone folder, which I like a lot better than my junky plastic one. Towns End BinderyUbik by PKD📺⏰⏳I went all out on this one. It was a LOT of work: Hand painted end papers, original cover design, original typeset (made in MS Word), custom vintage advertisements, hand sewn endbands, and chisel-trimmed fore edge. And when all was said and done, I found a glaring typo while flipping through the finished product. 😮‍💨Oh well.
