Oliver Andrich<p>But <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/PyCharm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyCharm</span></a> doesn't use uv to its full potential. </p><p>Why does it even offer a locallly installed <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a> interpreter to use? With uv, it would be best, to just pick the version you want to use and let uv download the desired version. </p><p>Personally, I think, if I use uv, I would also go all in with it. Or least offer the option to users like me. PyCharm still doesn't offer to download and install Python 3.13.</p>
