Ultimately on a biz side ending free API makes sense. Hopefully leads to more stable, more featured product. Maybe.

Like 3rd party clients the free API was a miracle living on borrowed time.

At least telling people in advance by a few days vaguely before they make a decision like this. That’s an improvement!

Mastodon is now where fun and useful bots are appearing. Guessing trend will continue.
