OMG, living in a new house is hell. Why? Because my wife keeps moving shit around all the time. Is this better here or here? The answer is that I don't care; find a spot and leave it there. But I can't say that. However, it's exhausting.

#Please #sell #more of your #cool #stuff and #services and #art and #music en la #fedi.

I will — in #solidarity with your #crass #SelfServing effort to get monetary #permission you use to let others know they're #allowed to give you #food to eat and #housing to sleep under a roof and such without themselves #increasing their #risk under #capitalism of having neither — at least block people who complain about it.

Don't mistake this for endorsing #advertising and #sponsorships, because I do not.

So, I got the lens yesterday. I now have a 50mm lens for the Pentax. Its a good lens, and has a UV filter included as well as a cap for the backside of the lens. so as long as one stays on the camera the other is protected.

One issue though is that one of the cats got out of Mom and Dad's place and of course we cant find her. IT was below freezing last night into this morning so we are hoping she was bedded down and warm. Its not the first time she's gotten out. She also tends to go into survival mode the moment she makes it past the door.

Last time my brother and his wife trapped her over at there place. I hope she's ok.

THE WEAKLY 105 is here!
2 years pasted by with weekly recaps. Still feels great. Still have some ideas of what I want to adjust and so on.
Need some technicalities to be figured out first and I will get to it at some point I am sure. Just having and actively using my Blog is a good feeling. It really feels like a part of me and my (especially online)identity.

It's happened. Stuff is using AI to write stories -- viz. a Southland Times piece called "What the Census tells us about Southlanders".

At the bottom of the page there's this line: "This article was compiled with the help of the Perplexity AI tool."

While AI may be good at regurgitating boring stats, how come the photographs of the two people are AI-generated. WTF?

It's 2025 & the enshitiffication of NZ's media is well underway.

Laundry day is always a bit of a thing. Got the food I needed for the week and some oatmeal for breakfasts.

Thinking of getting a small camp kettle to keep close so that if I want to hang out in a park I could make something like coffee or Tea. Not sure.

Need a good stable way to keep cream cold until I can afford a 12v fridge.

Let's remember that Sinead Boucher is the sole owner of most of the daily newspapers in Aotearoa. She has the final say on who their editors are. Her company owns #Stuff.co.nz the digital platform that gives them a homepage on the web, as well as #Neighbourly.

That's a lot of influence for one who thinks being against public spending is *not* an ideological position;
