The #whistleblower's account is corroborated by internal documentation & was reviewed by 11 technical experts across other govt agencies & the private sector. In total, NPR spoke to >30 sources across govt, private sector, #labor movement, #cybersecurity & #law enforcement who had their own concerns about how #DOGE & the #Trump admin might be handling sensitive #data, & the implications for its exposure. The following account comes from the whistleblower's ofcl disclosure & interviews w/ #NPR.

Analysis of how different media outlets covered the IDF massacre of the Palestinian medics in #Gaza. Reflecting on how language choices in headlines and leads can significantly impact public understanding of events, especially since many readers don't read beyond these elements. Indeed, often this is not journalism.

Hauntologies by Elia Ayoub · How Media Outlets Covered Israel's Massacre of Palestinian MedicsBy Elia Ayoub

Caught just a few min of a compelling piece on #NPR about a reporter whose dad is consumed by wacko right wing conspiracy theories, but is otherwise seems sane and functional.

He was sure ten crazy things were going to happen last year, and bet his son they would. What happens when they (obv) didn't?

Found it's a #podcast called "Embedded" and you can check out. Listening now.

It's three episodes here called "Alternate Realities."

I'm a big #NPR fan. But I sure am disappointed in them continually airing a clip from a shrimp boat owner talking about how the tariffs will be good for them, so they "can continue serving America" like, what were you doing before?

And do you think folks will be able to afford your expensive ass DeepWaterHorizon-flavored shrimp when they are unemployed?
