Christian TietzeI'm not 6 months without Time Machine backups.I was so happy to start using a Mac back when Time Machine was new, it was amazing. Nowadays, I can restore diddly squat with it, even with an NVME SSD.<a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Arq" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Arq</a> Backup is much more bare bones, but at least I can find file versions.

Jeff ForcierI am this || close to disabling <a href="https://social.coop/tags/TimeMachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TimeMachine</a> on my <a href="https://social.coop/tags/Mac" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mac</a> and just adding a second <a href="https://social.coop/tags/Arq" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Arq</a> target for whatever this year's S3-a-like service is called on my <a href="https://social.coop/tags/Synology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Synology</a>.May as well just do the latter anyways (assuming I have the space 🤔) and then I can at least find out if TM's incredible slowness is its fault or, somehow, the Synology’s.
