Kristall is a " without support for css/js/wasm or graphical websites".

Too early in the morning but trying to find out the "why" on this vs normal browser (beyond saying it can be done). Just for text/docs... It reads markdown natively... 🤔

kristall.random-projects.net/

@davidbisset the domain says it all: 'random projects'

@simonhamp I was thinking more of how I could use the (random) project. I envy anyone's time however to do random projects - but I'm sure it's useful for them, just wondering the angle(s).

@davidbisset yeh I haven't looked in depth, but was surprised that it didn't support HTTP/HTTPS as protocols - feels like it could still do so and thereby see wider adoption?

I do see some benefit to a standard format browser, esp if Markdown is used for document transfer as it will naturally be much lighter than HTML over the wire.

Of course, if MD is parsed into HTML at the client, some of those gains are lost.

I'm intrigued tho

@davidbisset It could be useful for testing sites for accessibility purposes. It also ensures that JavaScript ad popovers don’t occur when you’re trying to read articles.

@ramsey hey that would be a plus for sure.
